In this collection of our world-exclusive slate jewelry, rich black make up the base color, and then metallic rose gold and bronze are poured across the middle of each piece for striking results, with copper glitter. This larger pendant is just under 2 inches and comes with a 20 inch rose gold plated stainless steel chain. Earrings are just under 1 inch pieces of slate, with surgical steel wires.
Artist Kat Morris quarries real slate from Rockmart GA, and Delta, PA, and then, through a 12-step process, creates unique slate jewelry!
Each piece of slate is carefully selected, split and shaped until it is smooth and lightweight. Then, our poured acrylic technique is individually appled to each piece of primed and prepared slate. Once the backs are painted, the slate goes under the UV light with 2 coats of resin. Once cured, embellishments like wirework, Swarovski® crystals and other beads are added to make stunning one-of-a-kind original pieces of jewelry! Nothing else like 'em!
