In this collection of our world-exclusive slate jewelry, I was inspired by the Black Barn Owl in the second picture. Rich silvery blues make up the base color, and the earthtones in the owls face are poured across the middle of each piece for striking results. Large pendant is about 2.75 inches and comes with a 22 inch gold plated stainless steel chain. Or upgrade to one of our stainless steel Omegas. Earrings are 1.5 inch pieces of slate, with surgical steel wires.
Artist Kat Morris quarries real slate from Rockmart GA, and Delta, PA, and then, through a 12-step process, creates unique slate jewelry!
Each piece of slate is carefully selected, split and shaped until it is smooth and lightweight. Then, our poured acrylic technique is individually appled to each piece of primed and prepared slate. Once the backs are painted, the slate goes under the UV light with 2 coats of resin. Once cured, embellishments like wirework, Swarovski® crystals and other beads are added to make stunning one-of-a-kind original pieces of jewelry! Nothing else like 'em!
